Matt is a Partner and Strategic Advisor to Bonsai. In addition, Matt is the Director of Strategy at the Mayo Clinic. Prior to that, he was the Chief Financial Officer of the Global Solutions business segment within UnitedHealth Group. In this role he was responsible for the Finance, Actuarial, Underwriting and Accounting functions supporting the insurance and service needs of globally mobile populations.
Prior to joining UnitedHealth Group, Matt was Director of Risk Management at Allianz Life Insurance Company of North America (Allianz Life). Throughout his career Matt has held leadership roles across various Finance and Strategy functions.
He earned an BS in Finance and holds an MBA both from the University of St. Thomas.
Matt lives in Minneapolis and enjoys spending time with his daughter, eating great cuisine and traveling.
